God is cognition. God has intent and purpose. God is love and all knowledge. Trying to describe God in physical terms is useless. The nature of our relationship to God, to me, is somewhat like the relationship of a sponge to the sea. The sponge is surrounded and encompassed by the sea, but at the same time, the sea is saturated into every part of the sponge. Within us ,and without us.
Everyone who was ever here with us in this life and level of consciousness is still here in a higher level of consciousness since I believe that is most probably what paradise is - or at least the next step in a series to paradise.
God is not hard to know, be with, or satisfy. God just wants us to accept love - nothing more nothing less. The rest will come naturally.
God does not set us up with rules that we can't maintain in order to punish us. God is love and ultimately pure consciousness. God does not want or need to hammer us with condemnation. God's only intent is love.
God wants us to be happy.
God wants us to know that we have always existed and will always exist.
To know God best, listen. Knowledge from God is available and being transmitted continually, but we can't receive it if we are constantly talking or in some other non-receptive state. God does not speak to us in English - or at least not to me. However, when we offer ourselves in a receptive state, things become clearer to us gradually and occasionally we have moments of immediate insight. Google Transcendental Meditation and Contemplative Prayer. I believe both put us in the position to transcend to a consciousness where the knowledge of God comes to us.
I believe that many people talk at God and ask for things such as to be cured from disease or spared from financial doom. Knock and the door shall opened. When we listen to God and open ourselves to God, we enter a relationship that can eventually place us in perfect consciousness of God. We tend to want God to be a physical being like us - just on some mystical level. We believe God is someone who has the power to create existence, when God is actually existence itself. We want "Him" to be someone who will love us, when God is actually love itself. Or, we consider God someone "who" knows everything when God is actually knowledge itself.
A relationship with God can be the ultimate in Simplicity.
I believe that our relationship with God is boundless and limitless without complexity.
God wants us to learn to love all people - "All People."
God is available while waking, sleeping, and dreaming, however God is reached in transcendence where all knowledge is available - where we can acquire that sap which is God manifest in a form of use to us daily. You are both absorbed by God and saturated with God.
God is everywhere and does not have to come to you from some location when you speak with God.
You will learn a lot more from God about Love when you listen to God instead of speaking at God. By definition of God, we should assume that we are in the learner mode and God is the teacher. Therefore, we should listen to God instead of talking "at" God.
War is wrong all the time. It is against what God wants. It may seem necessary to use at times and we may can not find another way, but it is a failure of our limitations in avoiding war.
God loves everyone all the time. God loves Charles Manson and God loves you. Some people have problems wanting to relate to a God that loves Charles Manson as much as themselves. But, you can Love God - or not. There isn't a mail order catalog where you can order a designer God.
God is on your side, but God is on "their" side too.
What God wants from us and the nature of what happens when we die will one day make it clear to us how small our problems on this earth really are. The fact that people die of hunger or that people have been enslaved will be reconciled in ourselves as we understand the concept of eternity. 70 years of suffering will seem insignifcant when we view the reality of eternity.
God, as George Harrison sang, "is within you and without you". I picture the relationship much as an amoeba. When an amoeba absorbs something, it contains the object consumed, but it also permeates the substance of the item consumed. God's love consumes us this way. It is eternally there for us to realize.
I believe God is right here right now and available at all times with all knowledge. Our roadblock to God sometimes lies in our very definition of God. In order to explain God, we try to do that in human terms with the limited conceptual understanding of our intellectual boundaries. I think God is beyond what we can imagine right now, but God's connection to us is profoundly simple. God loves us. It is our choice to love God and all of humanity as God wants.
God is a concept beyond our wildest imagination. Perhaps that wildest imagination will define our experience when we go on to another consciousness after death. I believe that as we evolve through higher and higher consciousness of God, that we will find unique experiences as individuals in our love relationship with God.
When I was a child at about 10 or 12 years old, I began to have experiences in church that shaped my beliefs. I would have this picture of what Christ wanted or taught. Then at church, I would hear things that had me saying, "That is not what Christ said, or meant, or intended." That is when I decided to search and be with God - to let God's energy directly shape me. It made me a kinder, more peaceful, and compassionate person.
God has no intention for us to spend energy trying to decipher the end of the world. We will all surely experience a personal end to this world and that will almost certainly be before there is any total end to this world - as the nature of the universe itself is endless.
God wants us to be about the intentions of God - loving one another - creating peace in this world starting in your own home, in your place of work, and with those closest to you.
When the world will end is not germaine to God's wishes for how we live.
The end of the world, if indeed there will be a literal end, has microscopic chance of coming before our own death, so if we feel we need to correct our actions, that should be done with expedience since our own personal death will be relatively soon.
We should enjoy our life on earth, and the "end of everything" should not concern us. At least this is one child of God who thinks that way. Remember, that is all I propose to be doing here - sharing my opinions.
God doesn't routinely get involved in minutia. What we consider enormous, God considers part of our earthly curriculum. Another lesson towards loving everyone. I hear the phrase God is good when things work out the way people want. Well my father died years ago, but God is still good. What we consider huge in life, is a grain of sand randomly chosen from all the beaches of the Universe. Love everyone. Get to that point and we shall truly see how good God is.
